Why does Cooke Real Estate School....??

About 12 years ago, Cooke Real Estate School started broadcasting the pre-license sales course live on the Cooke Real Estate School website. This was before UTube and streaming video came into reality in the market place. As the owner of the school, I thought this was a great idea but it was hard to get students familiar with viewing the course either because the students were on dial-up or the students were just unfamiliar with streaming video.

Twelve years later Cooke Real Estate School is still allowing Cooke students and the general public to view the total presentation of all of Cooke’s streaming video virtual classes of not only Florida’s state-approved courses but state pre-license and continuing education courses in Mississippi, Georgia, West Virginia, Alabama and Wisconsin.

Yes…..but why show 80% of the course to students before they purchase the course…because we want to keep company with the best educators?

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"In 2002 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) launched the “OpenCourseWare” proof-of-concept pilot site opened and opened it to the public, offering 32 courses. In September 2003, MIT OpenCourseWare published its 500th course, including some courses with complete streaming video lectures. By September 2004, 900 MIT courses were available online. The response from MIT faculty and students has been very positive and MIT OpenCourseWare is seen as being consistent with MIT's mission which was to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. In 2005, MIT OpenCourseWare and other leading open educational resources projects formed the OpenCourseWare Consortium, which seeks to extend the reach and impact of open course materials, foster new open course materials and develop sustainable models for open course material publication."

Cooke Real Estate School has always felt that by having its courses all totally broadcast on its websites, both live and on demand, that students of real estate and those that might be interested in the wonderful field of real estate could benefit from being able to view the classroom presentations. As Cooke Real Estate School continues to develop real estate license courses in the future, for various state licensing jurisdictions, Cooke Real Estate School will continue to allow the public to view these programs for free? So why buy? Student buy because they need credit.
